Overview

Wipro Ltd-01markets was founded in April 2000 as an emarketplace for IT products and services. It is the strategic eSourcing and eProcurement division of Wipro Infotech. It has been awarded India's prestigious 'Golden Peacock award' for Innovation Management constituted by the Institute of Directors (IOD) twice in 2001 and 2003.

Currently, Wipro-01markets is 70 people strong with collective industry experience in eProcurement, Sales, IS, Product Management, Strategy and Planning. Our people have acquired Certifications in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Certifications in Purchase Management (CPM) and Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (APP) certifications awarded by the US-based Institute of Supply Management (ISM).

To date, our clients have sourced over US $ 135 million (as of April 2003) worth of industrial goods, commodities, high tech goods and office equipment through our marketplace. We estimate that our clients saved between 2% to 22% on their purchases, with average savings of 10% across all product categories.

We bring the innovative business-to-business (B2B) model to enterprises in India through eProcurement services, solutions and consulting. 01markets' leadership position is built on a strong foundation of quality processes - Six Sigma, ISO 9000, Knowledge Management, Innovation and People processes (People Capability Maturity Model : PCMM).

We use Six Sigma methodologies to continuously improve internal process performance and also ensure quicker deliveries, higher reliability, and simplified processes for customers and employees, improved call response and personal productivity.

Our customer base straddles various cross-sections of the industry including Process-based manufacturing, Discrete manufacturing, Textiles, Retail, Finance and Government.

With offices in Australia, Middle East, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore, besides India, we bring to these markets a unique combination of domain knowledge and experienced skill sets with a strong thrust on quality.
